New Embassy Working Hours/Days From 3rd-24th January 2022

The Embassy will be physically open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3rd to 24th January 2022 in light of the new guidelines announced by the Government of France. On Tuesdays and Thursdays Embassy staff will be working remotely from home

Uganda was represented for the first time at the Salon du Chocolat, conference of world chocolate & cocao held at the Porte de Versailles in Paris from 28th october to 1st November 2021.

The Salon du Chocolat attracted more than 20 Cocoa producing Countries, and Uganda partcipated for the first time, sending a delegation of Ugandan Cocoa growers from Bwamba Co-operative Union, Mukali and Bundikakemba Growers co-operative Society, who exhibited at the conference in Paris, and explained the uniqueness in taste of Ugandan Cocao. The Embassy participated with the Exhibitors to promote and market Ugandan Cocao in France. A meeting was further held in Grenoble to discuss with potencial French Investors on issues regarding marketing & promoting Ugandan Chocolate and Cocao in France and the EU at large.

Ambassador Richard Nduhuura receiving from UNESCO-MAB program, three out of the five Drones that are going to be used in the training of park managers on the use of UAVs in monitoring the habitats of Great Apes. The training, in which park managers from English Speaking Great Apes ring states will participate, is scheduled for January 2022 in Kibaale National Park, Uganda. The training will be conducted by Professor Sabrina Krief (1st left in the picture) of the French National Museum of Natural History who is also the Director of Sebitoli Conservation Project in Kibaale National Park. Mr Japheth Kawanguzi of MoTIV Uganda did us proud yesterday evening at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris when his company scooped the inaugural UNESCO-BANGLADESH BANGABANDHU SHEIKH MUJIBUR RAHMAN INTERNATIONAL PRIZE FOR THE CREATIVE ECONOMY.
