The Salon du Chocolat attracted more than 20 Cocoa producing Countries, and Uganda partcipated for the first time, sending a delegation of Ugandan Cocoa growers from Bwamba Co-operative Union, Mukali and Bundikakemba Growers co-operative Society, who exhibited at the conference in Paris, and explained the uniqueness in taste of Ugandan Cocao. The Embassy participated with the Exhibitors to promote and market Ugandan Cocao in France. A meeting was further held in Grenoble to discuss with potencial French Investors on issues regarding marketing & promoting Ugandan Chocolate and Cocao in France and the EU at large.

The Embassy will be physically open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3rd to 24th January 2022 in light of the new guidelines announced by the Government of France. On Tuesdays and Thursdays Embassy staff will be working remotely from home

Mr Japheth Kawanguzi of MoTIV Uganda did us proud yesterday evening at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris when his company scooped the inaugural UNESCO-BANGLADESH BANGABANDHU SHEIKH MUJIBUR RAHMAN INTERNATIONAL PRIZE FOR THE CREATIVE ECONOMY. The Prize was presented to him by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Her Excellency Sheikh Hasina.
The 42nd session of the World Heritage Committee was held in Manama from 24th June to 4th July 2018 at the UNESCO Village within Ritz Carlton Hotel premises.
