Good luck Team Uganda

The Embassy had the honour to host the Ugandan Athletes and the entire Ugandan Delegation led by Hon. Peter Ogwang to lunch at the Chancery. H.E Doreen Ruth Amule pledged to assist the team in any way possible during their stay in Paris for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Ugandan's living in Paris were invited to meet and greet the Athletes.

Girls rule the World! Giving all the flowers to our girl Peruth Chemutai for the Silver medal in the women's 3000m Steeplechase. To say that we are proud of you is an understatement. Go girl! 

Ohh what a race and joy! Joshua Cheptegei wins Gold medal in the men's 10,000m at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Congratulations Joshua and thank you for making Uganda proud.

In a bid to promote culture, the Embassy showcased Ugandan traditional wear and other designs at the 60th Anniversary of the G77 and China event at UNESCO. Uganda is the current Chair of the G77 and China.

Hon. Peter Ogwang-State Minister for Sports, Ms. Ketty Lamaro-Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Sports and Dr. Benard Ogwel-General Secretary of the National Council of Sports attend a meeting of the Commonwealth Ministers for Sports in Paris ahead of the start of the 2024 Paris Olympics.  

Amb. Catherine Otiti-Deputy Head of Mission hosted the young footballers team from the Olympia Sports Academy, Uganda who paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy. The team is in France visiting several football Academies and teams. 

Hon. Peter Ogwang-The State Minister for Sports and Head of the Ugandan delegation has arrived in Paris ahead of the Summer 2024 Olympics that will run from 26th July-11th August 2024 in different cities across France.

The Ugandan team will be participating in Rowing, Swimming, Cycling and Athletics.
